College Marshals

Senior Class Marshal: Each year two graduating Syracuse University students are selected to represent the senior class as Senior Class Marshals on the basis of academic achievement, involvement in student organizations, and campus and community service. Each finalist must submit an essay entitled, "What the SU Experience Has Meant To Me." To be selected a class marshal is among the most prestigious honors at Syracuse University. Senior class marshals have the honor of leading the graduating class into the commencement ceremony.

College Marshals
: College marshals are selected annually by each of Syracuse University’s 12 schools and colleges on the basis of academic achievement, involvement in student organizations, and campus and community service. College marshals have the honor of leading the procession of graduates from his or her school or college into the commencement ceremony.
