Alumni Relations
The staff in the College of Human Ecology Office of Alumni Relations welcome the opportunity to support and partner with alumni in the following ways:
Connections: Through special events such as Homecoming, Reunion Weekend, and networking sessions, the college and its alumni clubs provide opportunities for alumni to continue rekindling the friendships and relationships they first established as students at Syracuse University. Such events also allow alumni to connect with the college and provide feedback and suggestions. Recognition: The activities and achievements of alumni are of interest to the college as well as to other alumni. Alumni are invited to share news about themselves by contacting Becki Bruzdzinski at 315-443-2243; rlbruzdz@syr.edu ; or 810 Nottingham Road, Syracuse, NY 13224.
Recruiting: Alumni can help recruit quality students to the college by becoming Alumni Ambassadors. Through this program, alumni notify the college about promising students who might wish to enroll, attend on- and off-campus events, speak about their experiences as students and professionals, or serve as featured alumni in the college’s recruiting publications. To learn more about becoming an Alumni Ambassador, contact Felicia Otero at 315-443-5555 or HumanEcology@syr.edu.
Giving: Alumni are instrumental in the financial support of the college and its students. Without alumni support, the college would be unable to offer scholarships, explore new program initiatives, or pursue creative recruitment strategies.
Professional Enhancement: Alumni have many professional development and continuing education opportunities, offered through the college and the University. A variety of workshops, events, and special services are available to help alumni build and grow their careers. Resources for alumni are also available through the College of Human Ecology Career and Professional Development Center.
